Chicago's 'Top Doctors' Feature Alliance Researchers

Alliance researchers have been named among Chicago's “Top Doctors” in a listing by Chicago magazine. A total of 34 researchers from the Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology are among the 355 "most recommended physicians" named in the January 2016 issue. The list includes physicians from 57 specialties and Alliance researchers are highly represented in medical oncology, hematology, urology, colon and rectal surgery, and thoracic and cardiac surgery specialty areas.

Nominated by physicians nationwide, the physicians were selected based on factors such as hospital appointment, bedside manner, board certification and education. Chicago magazine worked to create the list with the health care and information research firm Castle Connolly Medical. The list also appears in the 14th edition of America's Top Doctors.

Alliance researchers have been recognized numerous times by the magazine, namely Gini F. Fleming, MD, who is the Principal Investigator and Director of the Alliance Central Protocol Operations Program. An expert in breast and gynecological cancers, Dr. Fleming is also Professor of Medicine, Director, Medical Oncology Breast Program and Medical Oncology Director, Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Chicago.
