Message From the Group Chair

Dear Alliance Researchers and Colleagues,

As we enter this holiday season, I would like to express my deep appreciation for your unwavering commitment to our shared mission of transforming cancer care through innovative, collaborative, patient-centered research. During the past year, you have shown your ability to adapt and thrive with resilience and clarity as we continue to navigate what seems to be a constantly changing landscape.

The momentum of our recent NCI-NCTN grant renewals — across both Alliance Operations and the Statistics and Data Management Center — demonstrates the strength of our collective efforts. The recurrent theme of practice changing trials and regulatory approvals resulting from Alliance studies serves as an additional remarkable testament of our collective success as an organization.

Perhaps most affirming through the grant renewal process was the recognition that the Alliance is more than the sum of its parts — that our network’s unique environment and scientific agenda reflect a unified commitment to biologically-informed trials and meaningful patient outcomes.

Looking ahead to 2026, we will continue to build on this momentum as we:

  • Launch new clinical trials that advance precision medicine and innovative therapies.
  • Expand digital health tools to enhance trial efficiency and patient engagement.
  • Strengthen partnerships and mentorship programs to support the next generation of research leaders.
  • Further integrate biologically informed trial designs that deliver meaningful outcomes for patients.
  • Increase public awareness of the Alliance through new Web-based solutions and heightened media relations efforts.

Thank you for your dedication and for the trust you place in our shared mission.

I also want to recognize our exceptional Alliance staff, whose expertise and commitment power every aspect of our work. From trial development and regulatory affairs to data management, finance, governance, communications and IT, this team ensures we have the tools needed to deliver cutting-edge cancer research. Your talent, hard work, and potential for continued growth inspire great confidence in the year ahead.

May your holidays bring you the same hope and support that you give to others through your important work. I wish you a wonderful season filled with joy, rest and time with loved ones.

Here’s to continued success, health and happiness in 2026!
