Internationally recognized physician-scientists and research leaders from leading academic medical centers and cancer centers drive the Alliance’s research agenda across oncology disciplines, identifying priorities, advancing innovation, and providing the scientific and operational oversight needed to conduct rigorous high-quality clinical trials.

Leadership is intentionally collaborative. The Board of Directors provides strategic governance and organizational oversight, while the Executive Committee helps shape the Alliance’s scientific priorities, policies, and operational direction. Together, they ensure the Alliance remains focused on conducting research with the greatest potential to improve patient care.

The Alliance’s Group Chair and Principal Investigator leads the scientific direction and works closely with the Program Principal Investigators to guide the five integrated programs that drive the organization’s research network—from clinical trial operations and statistics to translational research, cancer control, and procedure-based therapy.

Committee Chairs provide leadership across the Alliance’s for the disease- and discipline-based committees, guiding research concepts from initial ideas through development, prioritization, and clinical trial activation.

Supporting every stage of this work is a dedicated administrative team that works alongside scientific leaders to provide the operational expertise that, keeps the Alliance’s research network running. Their work spans protocol development, regulatory coordination, quality assurance, finance, communications, membership, and Alliance group meeting management—enabling investigators to focus on advancing science and improving patient care while ensuring studies are conducted efficiently, consistently, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Through strategic planning and scientific prioritization, Alliance leaders identify emerging opportunities, foster multidisciplinary collaboration, and focus resources on research with the greatest potential to advance clinical practice. Together, scientific and administration leadership align expertise, resources, and operations to accelerate high-impact cancer research and translate discoveries into better care for patients.
